About this service

StocksCGT provides capital gains tax calculation reports based on information supplied by users. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with HMRC or any government body.

Nature of the service

The reports we provide are based solely on the data you submit and the application of HMRC published guidance. We do not provide personalised tax advice, financial advice, or legal advice.

User responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring that:

• The data you provide is complete, accurate and up to date
• You review the report before using it for tax filing or record keeping
• You remain responsible for the final figures submitted to HMRC

Accuracy and limitations

While we take reasonable care in preparing calculations, we cannot guarantee that reports are free from error. Calculations are only as accurate as the information provided by you.

Tax rules and HMRC guidance may change over time. We are not responsible for outcomes resulting from changes in law, guidance, or interpretation after the report is delivered.

No liability for filing decisions

We are not responsible for any penalties, interest, assessments or disputes arising from the use of our reports. You remain fully responsible for your tax filings and communications with HMRC.

Confidentiality

We treat your data confidentially and use it only for the purpose of delivering the requested service, subject to our Privacy Policy.

Payments and refunds

Fees, if applicable, are agreed before work begins. Due to the bespoke nature of calculations, refunds may not be available once work has started.

We aim to keep the website available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or modify the service without notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
